Collision Alert Monitoring and Impact Analysis (camia™)

camia™ automatically records all traffic passing through a user-defined area and creates a video and sound record. The system is designed to measure and document any collision with a structure such as a bridge. A virtual perimeter is established around the structure. Any time traffic enters the perimeter, smart software activates the system. If a collision occurs, an alert is issued and automatically sent to authorized personnel. The authorized user can view events in real-time, zoom in and investigate, assess the situation and if necessary, mobilize law enforcement or operational assets. Transactional data is available is well as in the form of a retrievable database.

The system uses a combination of accelerometers and acoustic sensors to gauge and determine the magnitude and location of impacts with the structure. Streaming video is digitally captured and stored for later retrieval using the Duos rvspro™ system. Video is indexed along with accelerometer and acoustic data into a SQL database providing measurable, detailed incident reporting of all events at the user-defined area.
