Digital Optical Reading Agent (DORA™)

DORA™ is Duos Technologies proprietary video optical character recognition (VOCR) system for the rail industry. Each rail car is stenciled on the car sides and car ends with a unique identification number. Rail cars also have the date of last inspection stenciled on each side. DORA™ automatically scans inbound and outbound rail cars traversing a rail facility to provide OCR identification. DORA™ captures the car identification number, the date of last inspection and an image of the car. DORA™ then decodes these numbers, which are subsequently digitally recorded, time stamped, and stored into a Duos SQL database for later retrieval. Clients can extract this information and cross reference it to their inventory tracking systems.
