The Linear Panorama is a self-contained Intelligent
Video equipment platform that captures a sequence
of images from a passing object and stitches them
together into a panoramic image format. The Linear
Panorama can be used in conjunction with
trids™,camia™,mast™,
or as a standalone monitoring
application. This open-architecture solution networks
seamlessly to provide remote access.
Images for the Linear Panorama are captured by a high-speed field camera
that is activated by a speed sensor that also provides critical input to the creation of the panoramic image. The speed sensor resides in
a nearby junction box with the remaining platform
components, including a hardened
rvspro™
intelligent video server with Ethernet ports that provide network access.
The Linear Panorama platform includes a sun shroud
for optimal daytime image capture and an infrared
illuminator (in a light range suitable for railroad
applications). Its flexible design allows it to be
redeployed from site to site as a customer’s needs
change. This scalable solution delivers the full benefits
of networked video intelligence in a flexible, cost-effective
package.
